Title: Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare

Objectives:

• Understand how Artificial Intelligence is currently being used in Health care
• Understand what to consider when evaluating Artificial Intelligence solutions for clinical practice.

Peter Lewis serves as the Chief Information Officer for Hawai‘i Pacific Health. He joined Hawai‘i Pacific Health in 2021 as the Chief Information Security Officer, and prior to that served in various IT leadership roles at Hawai‘i Medical Service Association and The Queen’s Health Systems. Peter also served as an officer in the Royal Australian Air Force, with multiple operational deployments to the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific. He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of Nuclear Science form the Australian National University. Mr. Lewis is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and became a Fellow in 2024. He serves on several community boards to include the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i and the Laulima Data Alliance.
