PMAH Outreach

PMAH Outreach is a group of future health professionals who work together to improve the health of our Filipino community through service projects.

How we started: Established in September 2020 to bring health information and services to our community. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has impacted our Filipino community, PMAH proudly partnered with a group of pre-health students in an effort to spread accurate health information. #PMAHOutreach

Mission: To create a strong and unified community of those interested in Filipino culture, and to inspire future health professionals to holistically improve the health and wellbeing of Hawaiʻi.

Director of PMAH Outreach Nikky Bali

Nikky was born and raised in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She moved to Hawaiʻi when she was nine years old and from then, she has lived in Waialua, a small town on the Northshore of Oahu. She graduated last year with her Bachelor's in Biological Engineering at the University of Hawaiʻi Manoa. Nikky is currently in her gap year working as an EMG/EEG technician for a private neurology clinic. During her free time, she likes to use this time to study for the MCAT, volunteer at community events, hang out with her family/friends, and lastly, catch up on K-dramas. From time to time, she also loves to play tennis with her siblings.
