Kain Tayo: Tofu Sisig
Tofu Sisig
Ingredients
1 block of tofu
1-2 tablespoons Magi Seasoning (can substitute with soy sauce)
1 table spoon Oyster Sauce (substitute with Vegetarian Oyster Sauce)
1 bulb of Scallions
1-2 cloves Garlic
Green onion
1 bell pepper
1 teaspoon brown sugar
2 calamansi
Cooking oil
1 thai chili
Kewpie Mayonnaise (can substitute for other brands or vegetarian option)
Optional:
Mushrooms
Fried Egg
Directions
Tofu preparation:
Drain tofu
Press excess water from tofu for 15 minutes
Cut tofu into 1-inch blocks
Air Fry tofu (Pan Fry is possible also and use minimal oil)
Air fry tofu 350 degrees for 15 minutes (Flip tofu half way)
Sauce Preparation:
Wash and Dice all vegetables (scallions, garlic, bellpeppers)
In a pan sautee scallions and garlic until translucent
When translucent add bell peppers and chili
After bell peppers have cooked add tofu
Add 1 tablespoon of magi seasoning and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
Season with pepper
Season with brown sugar
Mix kewpie mayonnaise until all tofu and vegetables are mixed through
Garnish with green onions and calamansi
