Ganitano Profie

Hobbies: I am an avid football and watch it whenever I can. Whether it's the St. Louis Crusader's, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, University of Hawaii Rainbow Warriors or the Pittsburgh Steeler's I am always up for cheering on my team. ⁣

Why I joined PMAH: I am a recent addition to the PMAH. I joined because I wanted to help develop a mentorship program for filipinos in Hawaii. Whether they are premed, medical students, residents or new attendings, I feel that they can benefit from experience, wisdom and knowledge of those who came before them. I think through this we can help to make our Filipino community stronger.⁣

Why you joined PMAH: I had grown up in PMAH, and I still enjoy friendships with adults now that we made as kids of PMAH members. I wanted to move the organization back towards that feeling of family, and make a tighter knit networking base for younger physicians and peers. I also felt we needed to move towards higher community visibility, influence and involvement. I felt in my heart that I could help the organization transition into an even broader reaching entity in our islands, and one that would better serve our community population as well as our future doctors.

Mottos:
"Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, set up a life you don't need to escape from" -- S.Godin
"Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal." -- Henry Ford

Mahalo Dr. Prather for all your hard work for our community.
